Title: What's your mileage?
Post by MyLittlePony on May 12th, 2010 at 1:04pm
I currently have over 172k on my 94. It's engine was swapped after 168k. Nothing wrong with it other than being a 6 cylinder so I sold it and hopefully it's running strong inside a 98. The differential was swapped out at about 169-170k miles. It's was pretty weak even before the engine swap as I would hear a thumping noise whenever I coasted ever since the day I had 2.73s and a tlok installed "professionally." The transmission however still has the full 172k miles on it. I don't plan on upgrading unless it's completely neccessary.

So what is yours?

Mine is a 1995 Gt 5.0 auto, 89k original miles, had new motor at 80k. transmission has less then 1k.

I am the 3rd owner and the 2nd owner had it 3 yrs and it sat for 1yr, only bought drop springs ,cobra r hood and cobra bumper.

I have the original paperwork, sales sticker, all repair receipts all the way back to the Chip & gears install in 1996. the original owner took great care of this car and i am now making my own by doin upgrades.

Cool. I've never seen corner lights like that before. Yeah the lady I got my car from in 98 kept everything too, including speeding tickets! She bought it used in 95 though so no cool window sticker. Carfax says it originally was a rental, but only for a couple of months?!?

I wonder why a new motor was needed after 80k and then recently a new transmission, considering how much the previous owner took care of it. I guess the 2nd owner didn't. I wonder if that's why it sat for a year. Either that or it was an abandoned project. That sometimes happens.

Currently my '96 Cobra has over 165,000 miles getting close to 170,000.
It's still going strong, even though I've been through multiple clutches and 1 transmission.  If I ever have the fundage and run across a wrecked '03-'04 Cobra I'm going to forge the aluminum block and swap the top half of the engines.

I have 3 mustangs. My 1993 5.0L has 40,000 original miles, my 2005 GT has 32,500 original miles, and my 2008 Shelby GT500 has 375 original miles. All but the Shelby are red. The Shelby is white with blue stripes.
